The Department will implement a new MyTax Missouri portal service to electronically file sales and use tax returns after September 6, 2017. This new feature for electronic filing is part of a new integrated tax system implementation.
With the introduction of this new system, the current sales and use tax electronic filing application will be replaced. The current application will no longer be available effective close of business on August 23, 2017. After this date, access to view or print previously submitted returns will not be available. In addition, any saved incomplete returns will not be available after August 23, 2017.
Due to the changes in the tax system, paper return format and online filing format will change to allow the Department the ability to scan and capture information into the new system. You can find the forms and additional information concerning these changes on our their website at http://dor.mo.gov/forms/. The form numbers have not changed, but several formatting changes were made to the layout and codes used by the Department to identify the specific location of your business.
